Somatic Experiencing®
A body-centered therapy designed to address & heal trauma by focusing on bodily sensations. You’ll be guided through exercises to release stored trauma, restore balance, & regulate your nervous system. Promoting healing for stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, physical symptoms and illnesses with emotional roots.
The Embodyment Practice
We’ll get clear on the desire or quality you wish to embody. Then we dive into an experiential somatic movement practice, guided through music, relying on your body as a guide. The practice blends breathwork, somatic exercises & movement that strengthens the mind/body connection. We finish with integration & closing.
Embodied Meditation
Combining meditation techniques with a focus on the physical body, we anchor mindfulness through bodily sensations, movements, and breath. Cultivate self-awareness and relaxation by uniting the mind & body in the present moment. Embodied meditation aims to reconnect you with the body, as you find safety in inhabiting it.
All sessions are available in-person in Los Angeles or via Zoom. All embodyment sessions can be guided in Spanish and English.
About me
Hi! I am Susana Victoria Perez, and I am passionate about helping unlock people's hidden potential through our intuitive observation of their internal landscape. That's why I created embodyment. After observing people, including myself, who were disconnected from their bodies, holding onto trauma, and unable to tap into their innate potential, I developed a practice to help us reconnect with our body's intelligence. I bring a unique blend of expertise and experience in the field of mindfulness and embodiment, having trained extensively in trauma-informed somatic therapy and Somatic Experiencing®.
Why embodyment?
So many mindfulness practices require top down approaches that rely on disciplined stillness, and they can feel intimidating–learning to truly quiet the mind can take years of practice.
embodyment offers a different approach. By reconnecting to the true self through the felt sense, we can easily carry a reliable and effective practice into everyday moments. We want to empower you with the knowledge that you have everything you need to be your own guide. All it takes is the willingness to be who you are authentically, and to connect to your body and its innate intelligence, which only wants to bring you back to wholeness.
